CERVO IN BLU- AL FEMMINILE

Festival di Musica da Camera Cervo

For ten years, Cervo in Blu d'Inchiostro has been the event that the village dedicates to contemporary literature and its leading figures.

The festival promotes contemporary literature by stimulating a passion for reading and offering opportunities for direct dialogue with writers. In fact, Cervo has long boasted the title of City that Reads.

THE CHAMBER OF MUSIC FESTIVAL AND THE CHURCHES

Musica da Camera

The magnificent St. John the Baptist’s Church, better known as the Chiesa degli Corallini (Church of the Coral fishermen), designed by Giovanni Battista Marvaldi in 1686, with a distinctive concave façade emblazoned with stuccoes and a stag, or cervo in Italian. It was built with money raised by the fishermen themselves, whose life is recorded in the chapel dedicated to their patron saint, Erasmus. It forms a lovely backdrop for Cervo’s July and August Chamber Music Festival, founded in 1964 by Hungarian violinist Sandor Vegh, featuring internationally famous pianists and violinists.

CERVO TI STREGA

Cervo ti strega

Every summer, the ‘Cervo ti Strega’ competition transforms the iconic Piazza dei Corallini into an open-air literary salon, hosting the five finalists of the historic Roman prize. In this medieval setting overlooking the sea, authors present their works to the public and the jury in an intimate and refined atmosphere. The event is not only a showcase for books, but a perfect combination of music, storytelling and local culture, making Cervo an essential cultural landmark. The final evening is a moment of great prestige that celebrates the excellence of contemporary Italian fiction.
